The perfume was created by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena.The fragrance is a woody floral, with top notes of bergamot, orange blossom and neroli; middle notes of jasmine, tuberose and ylang-ylang; and base notes of patchouli, musk and amber.The perfume was originally launched in France in 1983, and was later introduced to the US market in 1986.The scent was inspired by the way sunlight reflects off of white flowers.The name "Solution No.2" refers to the fact that it is the second perfume in Ellena's " solutions" series, which also includes Solution No.1 and Solution No.
