Le Chypre is a feminine fragrance launched in 1986 by Alexandria Fragrances. The scent was created by perfumer Michel Almairac, who also worked on fragrances for Cartier and Chanel. The name of the perfume comes from the French word for cypress, which is an evergreen tree often associated with graveyards. The scent features top notes of bergamot, neroli, and green leaves; middle notes of jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, and lily-of-the-valley; and base notes of amber, musk, patchouli, and sandalwood.
Le Chypre Alexandria Fragrances has a strong, woody scent with hints of citrus. It is reminiscent of the scent of cedarwood and is perfect for those who enjoy a more masculine fragrance.
