Jarekhye Covarrubias is a self-taught perfumer and the owner of 878 Ganache Parfums, which is a Black-owned and operated business. The company is based out of Brooklyn, New York. Jarekhye Covarrubias was inspired to start 878 Ganache Parfums because of her love for baking and sweets. However, she wanted to create a line of products that were not only indulgent, but also healthy for the skin. The name “878 Ganache Parfums” was inspired by the number of ways that one can make ganache, which is a type of chocolate frosting. The number 878 represents the infinite possibilities that exist
